B36 Torshavn and Skala Itrottarfelag played out a thrilling 3-3 draw in the Faroe Islands Premier League on Sunday evening, with B36 rescuing a point late in a match that swung repeatedly from end to end. Six goals, several momentum shifts, and a dramatic finish made it one of the most entertaining fixtures of the round.

Match overview

B36 started brightly at Tórsvøllur and looked comfortable in possession during the early stages. Skala, however, grew into the game and showed why they are capable of hurting teams on the counter. The visitors twice took control of the scoreline in the second half, only for B36 to respond with the kind of attacking pressure expected from a side chasing a top finish. The draw leaves both teams with mixed feelings: B36 will rue dropped points at home, while Skala will take confidence from scoring three times away.

Key moments

• 12th minute: B36 opened the scoring through Andrias Eriksen, who finished neatly after a short pass inside the penalty area.
• 34th minute: Skala equalised when Jákup Johansen converted a low cross at the back post.
• 52nd minute: Skala took the lead as Páll Klettskarð found space at the edge of the box and curled a shot beyond the goalkeeper.
• 67th minute: B36 responded with a header from Rókur av Fløtum Jespersen, restoring parity after a sustained spell of pressure.
• 74th minute: Skala moved ahead again through Símun Hansen, who finished off a fast break with a composed strike.
• 89th minute: B36 equalised for the final time when Benjamin Heinesen reacted quickest to a loose ball in the box and forced it over the line.

Tactical story

B36 dominated territory for long periods but were exposed by Skala’s direct running and willingness to attack the space behind the full-backs. Skala’s mid-block made it difficult for B36 to play through the middle, forcing the home side into more crosses and set-piece situations. That approach eventually paid off for B36, whose equalisers came from sustained pressure and second-ball recoveries. Skala, meanwhile, will feel they managed the game well until the final minutes, when B36’s urgency finally told.

Standout performers

Eriksen’s early goal set the tone for B36, and Heinesen’s late equaliser underlined his knack for being in the right place at the right time. Jespersen’s header was another key contribution in a match where B36 needed multiple players to step up. For Skala, Johansen and Klettskarð were constant threats in the attacking third, while Hansen’s goal capped a strong individual display.

What it means

The draw keeps B36 Torshavn in the mix near the top of the Faroe Islands Premier League, but it is a result that may feel like two points lost given the late equaliser. Skala Itrottarfelag leave with a valuable away point and proof that they can compete with the league’s stronger sides. Both clubs will now prepare for their next fixtures with important lessons from a match that showcased the attacking quality in the division.
