Harju JK Laagri (W) 1-3 Viimsi JK Women: Viimsi Turn the Tide in Women’s Meistri Liiga

Viimsi JK Women secured an impressive 3-1 away victory over Harju JK Laagri (W) in the Estonian Women’s Meistri Liiga on 17 October 2026. After a competitive opening, Viimsi took control of the contest and scored three times to leave Laagri with a difficult result to digest.

Laagri began with purpose and enjoyed a good spell of possession in the early stages. Their reward came when they opened the scoring, finishing off a move that stretched Viimsi’s defence and lifted the home crowd. At that point, the match looked set to be a tight, cagey affair, but Viimsi responded with composure rather than panic.

Key Moments in the Comeback

• Laagri start strongly: The home side took the lead after pressing forward and finding space in the final third.
• Viimsi equalise: The visitors levelled before half-time, capitalising on a defensive lapse and finishing confidently.
• Second-half control: Viimsi went ahead after the break with a well-constructed attack that pulled Laagri’s back line out of shape.
• Late third goal: With Laagri pushing for an equaliser, Viimsi sealed the win on the counter, making it 3-1.

Tactically, Viimsi’s second-half adjustment was important. They pressed higher up the pitch, won more duels in midfield and forced Laagri into longer passes. That allowed Viimsi to sustain attacks and keep the home side pinned back. Laagri’s goalkeeper made several saves to keep the scoreline respectable, but the away team’s greater cutting edge in the final third proved decisive.

Viimsi’s midfield was central to the win, controlling the rhythm after the interval and linking well with the forward line. Laagri had spells of promise, particularly early on, but struggled to maintain that intensity once Viimsi raised their pressing line. The result adds important momentum to Viimsi’s campaign and gives them a strong away win to reference in the Women’s Meistri Liiga standings.

For Harju JK Laagri (W), the 1-3 defeat is a reminder of the fine margins in the division: an encouraging start was not enough against a side that grew stronger as the match wore on. Viimsi, meanwhile, will take confidence from the comeback and the manner in which they managed the closing stages.
