FC Flora Tallinn were held to a surprise 0-0 draw by JK Tallinna Kalev II in the Estonian Cup on August 13, 2026, with the lower-division side producing a resolute defensive display at the 00:00 kickoff. Flora, one of Estonia’s most decorated clubs, dominated territory but could not find a way past a determined Kalev II backline.

Flora Frustrated by Compact Opponent

FC Flora Tallinn entered the cup tie as heavy favourites, and they played with the ball for long spells. However, JK Tallinna Kalev II defended deep and in numbers, turning the match into a frustrating exercise for Flora’s attackers. The visitors grew in belief as the match wore on, and they were rewarded with a hard-earned clean sheet at the final whistle.

Although Flora carved out several half-openings, their final pass often lacked precision, and Kalev II’s goalkeeper showed sharp reflexes whenever the home side did manage a shot on target. The 0-0 scoreline is a testament to the competitive nature of the Estonian Cup, where underdogs can make life difficult for established clubs.

Cup Implications

For FC Flora Tallinn, the result is a reminder that cup football demands patience and ruthlessness in equal measure. JK Tallinna Kalev II, meanwhile, will take enormous confidence from the draw, having proven they can compete with one of the country’s top sides. The Estonian Cup tie is still open, and both teams will approach the next stage with renewed belief.
