Harrow Borough delivered a commanding away performance to beat Egham Town 3-0 in English Isthmian League One, with a brace from Jordan Adeyemi and a late goal from Charlie Ruff sealing a comfortable victory. Harrow were sharper in both boxes and controlled the game from the opening exchanges.

Match Overview

Harrow Borough started brightly and took the lead in the 21st minute when Jordan Adeyemi latched onto a through ball and finished confidently. Egham Town tried to respond, but their attacking moves broke down in the final third, and Harrow’s midfield continued to win the key battles.

Adeyemi doubled the lead in the 41st minute, heading in from a well-delivered corner. That goal gave Harrow a 2-0 half-time advantage and left Egham with a mountain to climb. The second half was more controlled from the visitors, and Charlie Ruff added a third in the 82nd minute with a low drive from the edge of the box.

• 57th minute: Egham Town’s best chance is cleared off the line by a Harrow defender.

Tactical Story

Egham Town set up to play through midfield, but Harrow Borough’s high press made it difficult for them to build rhythm. Harrow’s wide players stayed high, stretching Egham’s back line and creating space between the full-backs and centre-backs. That space was exploited repeatedly in the first half.

After the break, Harrow dropped slightly deeper and invited Egham onto them, confident in their ability to defend crosses and counter-attack. The third goal came from a turnover, with Ruff arriving late to finish. It was a mature away performance from a side that looks capable of competing near the top of the Isthmian League One table.

Standout Players

Jordan Adeyemi (Harrow Borough): Two goals and a constant menace in behind. He was the standout attacker on the pitch.

Charlie Ruff (Harrow Borough): Added the third goal and controlled the tempo in midfield.

Harrow Borough defence: Kept a clean sheet and dealt comfortably with Egham’s second-half pressure.

Season Impact

The three points strengthen Harrow Borough’s position in the Isthmian League One standings and continue their strong away form. Egham Town will be disappointed with the scoreline, especially after conceding twice before half-time, and will need to improve their defensive organisation in upcoming fixtures.

For Harrow, the result is a statement of intent. For Egham, it is a reminder of the quality required in a competitive division. The head-to-head now leans in Harrow’s favour, and they will look to carry this momentum into their next league match.
