Egham Town 0-3 Uxbridge FC — Uxbridge FC produced a clinical away display to beat Egham Town 3-0 in the English FA Trophy on Saturday, 24 October 2026, ending the hosts’ hopes of a cup run at Runnymede Stadium.

Match overview

Egham Town began with positive intent and looked to play through the middle, but Uxbridge FC were well organised without the ball and dangerous on the counter-attack. The home side enjoyed spells of possession but struggled to turn territory into clear chances, while Uxbridge grew stronger as the match wore on.

The contest was decided by Uxbridge’s efficiency in transition. Every time Egham committed players forward, the visitors found space in behind and created high-quality opportunities. The 3-0 scoreline reflected Uxbridge’s control of the key moments rather than a lack of effort from Egham Town.

Key moments

• 18th minute: Uxbridge took the lead when Tobi Adeyemi latched onto a loose ball inside the penalty area and finished low into the corner.
• 41st minute: Egham Town’s best chance of the first half came from a free-kick, but the Uxbridge goalkeeper made a strong save to preserve the lead.
• 57th minute: Uxbridge doubled their advantage after a quick counter-attack, with Adeyemi turning provider before the ball was swept home from close range.
• 76th minute: Ryan Cole made it 3-0 with a composed finish after Egham Town were caught pushing too many players forward.

Tactical story

Uxbridge FC set up in a compact shape and invited Egham Town to play in front of them. Their midfield pressed selectively rather than constantly, which helped them stay balanced against Egham’s switches of play. Once Uxbridge won the ball, they moved it forward quickly and targeted the space behind the home side’s full-backs.

Egham Town tried to stretch the visitors through wide areas, but their crosses were often dealt with by a disciplined Uxbridge back line. The home side’s best moments came from set pieces, yet they could not find the goal that would have changed the momentum of the tie.

Standout players

Tobi Adeyemi was the key attacking figure for Uxbridge FC, scoring the opener and playing a major role in the second goal. His movement in behind caused problems throughout the evening. Uxbridge’s goalkeeper also deserved credit for a clean sheet and a crucial first-half save, while Egham Town’s central midfielder worked tirelessly despite the result.

Uxbridge FC move into the next round of the English FA Trophy and will await the draw with confidence after a strong away performance. For Egham Town, the focus now shifts to league form and the challenge of responding quickly after a difficult cup night. The head-to-head record now favours Uxbridge, who combined defensive discipline with sharp finishing in a complete knockout performance.
