Proxy SC 3-2 El Entag Al Harby — a dramatic Egyptian Division 2 contest at a packed home ground ended with the hosts claiming all three points thanks to a late winner, after twice surrendering command of a match they had controlled for long spells on Friday, 16 October 2026.

Match Overview

The two sides went into the fixture separated by only a handful of places in the Egyptian Division 2 table, and the opening exchanges reflected that closeness. Proxy SC, playing at home, started with a high defensive line and looked to press El Entag Al Harby into mistakes in their own third, while the visitors sat deeper and tried to spring quick counter-attacks through the channels.

The breakthrough arrived inside the first quarter of an hour. A quick turnover in midfield released the Proxy right winger, whose low cross was turned in at the near post by Mahmoud Sabry to make it 1-0. The home crowd barely had time to settle before the lead was doubled, with Karim Abdel Nasser finishing a sweeping team move in the 34th minute after a slick one-two on the edge of the area.

Tactical Story

For the first half hour Proxy SC were the sharper team, dominating possession in the middle third and using both full-backs aggressively to stretch El Entag Al Harby's back four. The visitors' response came from set pieces, and their ability to stay in the game through dead-ball situations was the reason the match remained alive deep into the second half.

El Entag Al Harby's equaliser changed the shape of the contest. Proxy dropped their defensive line slightly and began to protect the central corridor, inviting pressure and looking to break at speed. That adjustment nearly cost them, but it also created the space for the winning goal, with Fathi arriving in the box unmarked after a counter-attack down the left.

Standout Players

Mahmoud Sabry set the tone with the opening goal and was a constant threat drifting inside from the flank. Ahmed Fathi's impact from the bench was decisive, while Hassan El Sayed deserves credit for El Entag Al Harby, driving his side forward and converting the penalty that briefly looked like earning a valuable away draw.

Season Impact

The three points lift Proxy SC firmly into the promotion conversation in the Egyptian Division 2, giving them momentum ahead of a demanding run of fixtures. For El Entag Al Harby, the defeat is a frustrating one; having clawed their way back from two goals down, they will feel they did enough to leave with a point. Both clubs remain involved in a tight mid-table cluster where a two-match winning run can transform the standings.
