Match Overview

• Full-time score: Levels FC 4-1 Ithad Al Shortah
• Competition: Egyptian Division 2
• Date: September 30, 2026
• Kick-off: 21:30

The three-goal margin underlined Levels FC’s attacking quality and their ability to convert pressure into goals. Ithad Al Shortah struggled defensively for much of the match, particularly against Levels FC’s quick combinations in wide areas. The consolation goal gave Ithad Al Shortah a brief moment of encouragement, but Levels FC restored control almost immediately and finished the game comfortably.

How the Game Unfolded

Levels FC opened the scoring inside the first 15 minutes when Ahmed Fathy latched onto a through ball and finished low past the goalkeeper. The early goal set the tone. Levels FC pressed high, won the ball back quickly, and created chances in waves. Mahmoud Sabry doubled the lead with a powerful strike from the edge of the box after a short pass from the right.

Ithad Al Shortah tried to respond and managed to pull one back before half-time. Mostafa Nabil found space at the back post and converted a cross, giving his side a lifeline. But any hopes of a comeback were dashed early in the second half. Ahmed Fathy scored his second of the night, finishing calmly after a flowing team move, and Omar Khaled added a fourth with a header from a corner.

From there, Levels FC managed the game well. They kept possession, limited Ithad Al Shortah to shots from distance, and avoided unnecessary risks. The final score of 4-1 reflected the home side’s superiority in both boxes.

Key Moments

The second goal was a major blow to Ithad Al Shortah. Having conceded early, they had started to find some stability, but Mahmoud Sabry’s strike made the task much harder. Ahmed Fathy’s second goal at the start of the second half effectively ended the contest.

Tactical Story

Levels FC lined up with an attacking 4-3-3 and used their wingers to stretch Ithad Al Shortah’s back line. The full-backs overlapped constantly, creating two-on-one situations in wide areas. Ithad Al Shortah defended in a deep block but struggled to close the gaps between their midfield and defence. Levels FC’s midfielders exploited that space, arriving late in the box and recycling possession efficiently.

The home side’s pressing was also impressive. They won the ball high up the pitch several times, which led directly to goalscoring opportunities. Ithad Al Shortah’s best moments came when they played direct football, but they were too often isolated in attack and unable to sustain pressure.

Standout Players

Ahmed Fathy was the clear standout with two goals and constant movement. Mahmoud Sabry controlled the midfield and scored a fine goal, while Omar Khaled’s header capped a strong all-round performance. For Ithad Al Shortah, Mostafa Nabil took his goal well and remained a threat, but the team’s defensive errors made it difficult to build momentum.

What It Means for the Egyptian Division 2

The 4-1 win gives Levels FC a major boost in the Egyptian Division 2 standings and reinforces their reputation as a dangerous home team. Ithad Al Shortah will need to address their defensive organisation quickly, as conceding four goals away from home can have a lasting impact on confidence. For Levels FC, the challenge now is consistency: if they can reproduce this level of pressing and finishing, they will be a serious threat in the promotion race.
