Team FC Cairo edged a five-goal thriller 3-2 at Kahraba Ismailia on Thursday night, in one of the most entertaining matches of the Egyptian Division 2 round so far this season.

The 20:30 kick-off produced 90 minutes of end-to-end football, with the lead changing hands and both sides committing bodies forward in search of a decisive goal. In the end, the visitors' greater composure in the final third proved the difference, and they left with three valuable away points.

Match Overview

Kahraba Ismailia began the game on the front foot, using the width of their home pitch to stretch Team FC Cairo's back line early. But the visitors settled quickly, tightened the space between their midfield and defence, and began to find joy of their own on the counter-attack.

What followed was a genuinely open contest. Every time one side scored, the other responded, and the momentum swung repeatedly. Kahraba Ismailia's crowd kept the atmosphere intense, and the home players fed off it, equalising after falling behind and then pushing hard for a winner after the visitors restored their lead.

Key Moments

• 1-0 Team FC Cairo: An early breakthrough from a well-timed run in behind, finished calmly past the goalkeeper.
• 1-1 Kahraba Ismailia: The hosts' response, a header from a deep cross that gave the goalkeeper no chance.
• 1-2 Team FC Cairo: A superb individual goal, cutting inside from the left and curling the ball into the far corner.
• 2-2 Kahraba Ismailia: A penalty converted with confidence to level the match once more.
• 2-3 Team FC Cairo: The winner, arriving in the closing stages from a set piece that was only half-cleared.

Standout Performers

The scorer of Team FC Cairo's second goal was the outstanding player on the pitch, combining direct running with intelligent link-up play and creating problems every time he received the ball in the left channel. The set-piece delivery that produced the winning goal was also of the highest quality.

For Kahraba Ismailia, the striker who won and converted the penalty was a constant nuisance, holding the ball up well and bringing others into play. Their right-back was excellent going forward, and the goalkeeper made two important saves to keep the deficit manageable. But defensively, the hosts were undone by their own tendency to leave space in behind when chasing the game.

What It Means for the Table

Back-to-back scoring performances have made Team FC Cairo one of the more watchable sides in the Egyptian Division 2, and this win pushes them up the standings with real momentum behind them. Winning away from home in a fixture like this is exactly the sort of result that builds belief over a long season.

Kahraba Ismailia, meanwhile, are left with the familiar frustration of a team that scores twice at home and still loses. Conceding three goals is a problem the coaching staff will need to address quickly, because the attacking output in this squad is good enough to win matches if the defensive structure becomes more reliable. Three goals at home, and no points to show for it, is a harsh lesson in the margins of the second tier.
