Diamond SC 0-2 Ra SC — Ra SC produced the away performance of the Egyptian Second Division round on 16 September 2026, scoring in each half to claim a deserved victory and leave Diamond SC still searching for their first points of the new campaign.

Match Overview

Diamond SC began brightly in front of their own fans, pressing high and forcing a couple of early corners that hinted at a confident home display. But the pattern of the match shifted quickly. Ra SC absorbed the initial pressure, tightened their midfield block and then began to hurt their hosts on the break with direct, vertical football.

By the time the first half-hour had passed, the visitors were the more coherent team: organised without the ball, patient in possession and ruthless when space opened up behind Diamond SC's advanced full-backs. The opening goal was no accident of fortune — it was the product of a well-drilled counter-attacking plan.

Key Moments

• 24th minute: Ra SC take the lead. A quick turnover in midfield released the right winger, whose low cross was converted first time from eight yards.
• 37th minute: Diamond SC's best opportunity — a header from a set piece that clipped the top of the crossbar.
• 55th minute: A goal-line clearance denied Ra SC a second as Diamond SC briefly rallied after the interval.
• 68th minute: Diamond SC's afternoon worsened when a defender was shown a straight red card for a professional foul on the edge of the box.
• 78th minute: Game over. Ra SC doubled the lead, finishing coolly after a flowing move down the left, sealing a 0-2 away win.

Tactical Story

Ra SC set up in a disciplined 4-2-3-1, with the two holding midfielders shielding the back line and the front four breaking at speed whenever Diamond SC committed numbers forward. It is a classic away template, and it worked almost perfectly here: the visitors conceded territory at times but rarely looked genuinely stretched.

Diamond SC's problem was structural rather than individual. Their midfield pushed up to support the attack, leaving a large gap in front of the defence that Ra SC exploited repeatedly. The sending-off in the 68th minute removed any realistic route back into the game and turned a difficult afternoon into a damaging one.

Standout Performers

Ra SC's attacking wide players were the difference-makers, combining pace with intelligent movement and providing the assists that decided the contest. The defensive midfielder who screened the back four was arguably the most important player on the pitch, breaking up play and recycling possession with minimal fuss. For Diamond SC, the goalkeeper kept the score respectable with a string of saves, while their captain worked tirelessly in a losing cause.

Season Impact

The three points strengthen Ra SC's position near the top of the Second Division table and underline their credentials as promotion candidates. For Diamond SC, the defeat leaves them without a win in the early weeks of the season and with an obvious problem to solve: they cannot continue to commit so many players forward without cover behind them. The next fixture now carries considerable weight, both for the table and for confidence.
