Match Overview

Dugo Selo started brightly and took the lead inside the opening 15 minutes, capitalising on a defensive mix-up to slot home from close range. The second half was more of the same. Dugo Selo added a third shortly after the restart, effectively ending the contest. A fourth goal in the closing stages, a cool finish from a one-on-one, completed the scoring and capped a dominant display.

Tactical Story

Dugo Selo lined up with an aggressive 4-3-3, pressing high and forcing Zagora Unesic into long balls that were easily dealt with. Zagora Unesic’s manager tried to change shape at half-time, switching to a back five, but the damage was already done. Dugo Selo’s midfield dominance was the foundation of the win, with their captain dictating the tempo throughout.

Standout Players

Dugo Selo’s striker was the standout performer, scoring twice and causing problems all evening with his movement. The right winger also impressed, providing two assists and constantly stretching the defence. For Zagora Unesic, the goalkeeper made several saves to prevent an even heavier defeat, while their young central defender showed composure despite the scoreline.

Season Impact

This victory strengthens Dugo Selo’s position in the upper half of the Croatian Second Football League table, and the four-goal margin could be crucial if goal difference decides promotion or playoff places. For Zagora Unesic, it is a damaging result that leaves them with work to do. They must regroup quickly, particularly at the back, where concentration and communication will be key in the coming fixtures.

Dugo Selo will take great confidence from this performance, while Zagora Unesic will be desperate to respond in their next match.
