Tactical Story

Hrvatski Dragovoljac lined up in a 4-2-3-1 formation that overwhelmed Grobnican’s midfield. Their high press forced turnovers in dangerous areas, and the front four interchanged positions constantly. Grobnican struggled to build from the back and were often reduced to long balls, which the Dragovoljac centre-backs dealt with comfortably. The home side’s only bright spell came just before half-time, but defensively they were exposed throughout.

Standout Players

Matej Jurić was the star of the show with two goals and an assist, while Ivan Perić controlled the tempo in midfield. For Grobnican, Luka Marić was the lone threat, scoring their only goal and working tirelessly up front.

Table Impact

The win lifts Hrvatski Dragovoljac into the promotion playoff places, boosting their confidence ahead of a crucial run of fixtures. NK Grobnican remain in the lower half of the Croatian Second League table and will need to tighten up defensively if they are to climb away from danger.
