Glostrup FK came from behind to beat local rivals Gladsaxe 2-1 in the Danish 4th Division on October 10, 2026, with a second-half winner sealing a hard-fought derby victory at Glostrup Stadion. The result gave Glostrup FK bragging rights and three important points in the league table.

Gladsaxe started the brighter of the two sides and stunned the hosts with an early goal. But Glostrup FK responded well, equalized before half-time, and then found the decisive moment in the second half through their most dangerous attacker.

Match Overview

The 18:00 kickoff brought a lively local atmosphere, with both sets of supporters creating noise throughout. Gladsaxe’s early pressure paid off in the 12th minute when Frederik Holm converted a well-worked move down the left. Glostrup FK looked rattled for a short period, but their midfield gradually took control.

By the 38th minute, the home side were level. Mikkel Sørensen, who had been probing the Gladsaxe defense, found space at the near post and finished neatly. The equalizer changed the momentum completely, and Glostrup FK carried that energy into the second half.

Tactical Story

Gladsaxe’s early goal came from pressing high and attacking the space behind Glostrup FK’s full-backs. However, as the game wore on, Glostrup FK’s midfield trio began to dominate the central areas. Their ability to win second balls allowed them to sustain attacks and pin Gladsaxe back.

Glostrup FK’s manager made a smart adjustment after the interval, pushing the wingers narrower to create overloads in the half-spaces. That tactical tweak led directly to the winning goal, with Sørensen exploiting the gap between Gladsaxe’s center-backs and full-back.

Standout Players

Mikkel Sørensen was the clear man of the match, scoring both goals and leading the line with intelligence and energy. His movement off the ball repeatedly troubled the Gladsaxe defense. In midfield, Glostrup FK’s captain controlled the tempo and helped his side recover from the early setback.

For Gladsaxe, Frederik Holm was a bright spark, taking his goal well and causing problems with his direct running. Their goalkeeper also made several saves to keep the scoreline close, but Gladsaxe could not find a second equalizer despite late pressure.

League Impact

The win moves Glostrup FK up the Danish 4th Division table and strengthens their position in the race for promotion or a top-half finish. Gladsaxe, meanwhile, will rue missed opportunities, especially in the final ten minutes when they pushed numbers forward.

Derby victories always carry extra significance, and this 2-1 result will give Glostrup FK confidence for the weeks ahead. For Gladsaxe, the focus will be on turning promising spells into full 90-minute performances.
