Silkeborg and AC Horsens played out a breathless 3-3 draw in the Danish Superliga on 11 October 2026, a result that delivered six goals, two comebacks and a late equaliser that left both sets of supporters with plenty to talk about at JYSK park.

The home side looked in control for long spells, racing into a two-goal lead inside the first half-hour, but Horsens refused to fold and produced a stirring second-half response to claim a point that could prove valuable in their fight to climb away from the lower reaches of the table.

Match overview

Silkeborg started with the kind of high-tempo pressing that has become their trademark in the Superliga, forcing Horsens into early mistakes and creating a string of chances around the penalty area. The breakthrough arrived in the 14th minute when Alexander Lind latched onto a smart through ball and finished low past the goalkeeper.

One became two on 29 minutes. Another quick turnover in midfield released Lind again, and the striker doubled his tally with a composed finish into the bottom corner. At that stage, the match looked as though it might drift away from the visitors.

Horsens, however, found a foothold just before the break. Frederik Heiselberg pulled one back in first-half stoppage time, converting from close range after a goalmouth scramble, and the momentum shifted dramatically after the interval.

Tactical story

Silkeborg's 3-4-1-2 system caused Horsens problems early on, with the wing-backs pushing high and the front two rotating to create overloads in the channels. Their pressing was sharp, but as the game wore on the gaps between midfield and defence grew wider.

Horsens adjusted intelligently after the break, switching to a more direct approach and targeting the space behind Silkeborg's advancing full-backs. The visitors won the second-half shot count and looked the more likely side to score in the closing stages.

Standout players

Alexander Lind was Silkeborg's most dangerous outlet, scoring twice and linking play intelligently. Pelle Mattsson also impressed with his energy and late goal. For Horsens, Frederik Heiselberg led the line superbly, while substitute Musa Juwara made the decisive impact with the 93rd-minute equaliser.

Table impact

The draw leaves Silkeborg still chasing a top-six spot, frustrated at dropping two points from a winning position. Horsens, meanwhile, will view the comeback as a sign of character and a platform to build on in their battle to avoid the relegation playoff places.
