SK Artis Brno Women claimed a 2-1 away win over Dynamo Ceske Budejovice (W) in the Czech 2.liga Women on 25 October 2026, scoring late to take all three points from a closely contested match. The result gives Brno an important boost in the league table, while Ceske Budejovice were left to rue a missed opportunity on home soil.

Match overview

Dynamo Ceske Budejovice (W) enjoyed the better of the early possession, but SK Artis Brno Women looked dangerous whenever they broke forward. The visitors took the lead inside the first ten minutes and then defended that advantage with a compact mid-block. Ceske Budejovice equalised before half-time and seemed to be building momentum, only for Brno to find a winning goal in the closing stages.

Key moments

• 9th minute: Brno struck first when Tereza Novotná intercepted a loose pass and drove a low shot into the corner from just outside the area.
• 22nd minute: Ceske Budejovice responded well, forcing two corners in quick succession, but Brno's defence held firm.
• 41st minute: The home side found their equaliser when Lucie Dvořáková arrived late in the box and converted a cross from the left.
• 64th minute: Brno goalkeeper Barbora Svobodová made a sharp save to deny Ceske Budejovice a second goal.
• 78th minute: The winning moment arrived for Brno. Novotná turned provider, slipping a pass through for a forward who finished calmly past the goalkeeper.
• 90+2 minutes: Ceske Budejovice sent a late free-kick into the box, but the ball was headed clear and the final whistle followed.

Tactical story

Brno's game plan was built around transitions. They allowed Ceske Budejovice to circulate the ball in deeper areas and then looked to win it back in midfield before attacking the space behind the home defence. That approach produced the opening goal and ultimately the winner. Ceske Budejovice had more possession and created a decent share of chances, but their final pass was often rushed. The home side's full-backs pushed high in search of a winner, and that left them exposed for Brno's decisive counter-attack.

Standout performers

Tereza Novotná was central to Brno's success, scoring the first goal and assisting the second. Her willingness to run at defenders gave the visitors an outlet throughout the match. Barbora Svobodová also deserves credit for a composed goalkeeping display, while Lucie Dvořáková was Ceske Budejovice's brightest player, driving forward from midfield and scoring the equaliser.

League impact

The three points strengthen SK Artis Brno Women's position in the Czech 2.liga Women standings and give the squad momentum for the next round of fixtures. Dynamo Ceske Budejovice (W) remain within the pack, but dropping points at home in a match they largely controlled will feel costly. The result also highlights how important efficiency in the final third can be in a division where the margins are often small.
