Slovacko Women produced a dominant away performance to beat Banik Ostrava Women 3-0 in the Czech Cambrinus Women’s Liga on Saturday evening. The visitors controlled the game from the early stages, scored at key moments and kept a clean sheet to secure a convincing three points.

Match overview

Slovacko set the tone almost immediately, pressing high and forcing Banik Ostrava into rushed clearances. The opening goal settled the visitors and allowed them to dictate the rhythm of the match. Banik Ostrava tried to respond through quick breaks, but they struggled to sustain possession in the final third. Slovacko added a second before half-time and managed the second period with maturity, adding a third goal after the break to remove any doubt about the result.

Key moments

• 12th minute – Slovacko take the lead: A well-worked move down the left created space in the box, and Tereza Novotná finished neatly at the near post.
• 38th minute – The lead doubles: Banik Ostrava lost the ball in midfield, and Slovacko moved it forward quickly before doubling their advantage with a low strike.
• 57th minute – Banik Ostrava’s best chance: The hosts produced a rare clear opening from a set piece, but the Slovacko goalkeeper made a strong save to preserve the two-goal cushion.
• 64th minute – Novotná scores again: Slovacko’s forward completed her brace with a composed finish after another sharp attacking transition.

Tactical story

Slovacko’s midfield trio was the foundation of the victory. They pressed together, recycled possession efficiently and consistently found space between Banik Ostrava’s defensive lines. The away side also defended well against set pieces, limiting the hosts to very few clear sights of goal. Banik Ostrava attempted to press higher after the interval, but that only created more room for Slovacko to counter into, which proved decisive in the second half.

Standout performers

Tereza Novotná was the obvious attacking difference-maker with two goals, while Klára Dvořáková controlled the tempo in midfield and helped Slovacko win the battle in the centre of the pitch. The Slovacko goalkeeper also deserves credit for a clean sheet and a key save early in the second half.

What the result means

Slovacko Women strengthen their position in the Cambrinus Women’s Liga standings with an authoritative away win. Banik Ostrava Women remain with work to do after a difficult evening in which they were beaten in midfield and struggled to create enough quality in the final third. For Slovacko, the performance is a clear statement of intent as the season progresses.
