Vitkovice produced a powerful attacking display to beat Brno B 4-2 in the Czech Third League on Saturday evening. The home side scored four times in a high-tempo contest, securing a convincing victory that underlined their attacking quality and added another important three points to their season tally.

Vitkovice started brightly and took control of the game early. Their movement in the final third caused Brno B problems from the opening minutes, and the home side were rewarded with the first goal in the 11th minute. A second goal followed in the 27th minute, giving Vitkovice a commanding 2-0 lead and forcing Brno B to respond.

The visitors pulled one back in the 41st minute, briefly raising hopes of a comeback before half-time. However, Vitkovice restored their two-goal advantage shortly after the restart and then added a fourth goal in the 68th minute. • 27th minute: The home side doubled their lead with a composed finish inside the penalty area.
• 41st minute: Brno B reduced the deficit with a well-taken goal before the break.

Tactical story

Vitkovice’s victory was built on quick ball movement and aggressive running in behind the Brno B defence. The home side repeatedly stretched the visitors with wide overloads, and their midfielders were quick to support attacks. That combination made it difficult for Brno B to settle into a defensive rhythm.

Brno B showed spirit and had spells of possession, particularly after their first-half goal. But they were unable to contain Vitkovice’s counter-attacks, and each time the home side regained the ball, they looked capable of creating another chance. The four-goal return was a fair reflection of Vitkovice’s cutting edge in the final third.

Standout performers

Vitkovice’s attacking unit shared the workload well, with the forward line constantly rotating and creating space for one another. The midfield duo also deserves praise for controlling the tempo and winning second balls. For Brno B, the two goals were a positive sign, but the defensive performance will need improvement if they are to pick up points in similar away fixtures.

Table impact

The win gives Vitkovice a healthy boost in the Czech Third League standings and reinforces their reputation as a dangerous home side. Brno B will take some encouragement from their second-half goal, but the defeat highlights the gap between the two teams on the night. Vitkovice will now look to build on this result, while Brno B must regroup quickly.
