Third-placed Unicov strengthened their grip on a promotion playoff spot with a composed 3-1 victory over struggling Slovacko II at the Stadion FK UNICOV. The home side recovered from an early scare to assert their quality and remain firmly in the hunt for a historic step up.

First Half Drama

Slovacko II stunned the home crowd by taking an early lead. A swift counter-attack saw winger Filip Šedivý cut inside and curl a shot beyond the reach of Unicov goalkeeper Pavel Dvořák (11'). Unicov responded well, equalising through a penalty won by forward Lukáš Štěpánek after a clumsy tackle – midfielder Martin Kovář converted (31'). The hosts then turned the game around before the interval when centre-back Tomáš Janoušek rose highest to head in a corner (43').

Second Half Control

Unicov dominated the second period, keeping possession and limiting Slovacko II to sporadic attacks. The decisive third goal came in the 67th minute when substitute Ondřej Smetana latched onto a through ball and finished with composure to make it 3-1. Slovacko II's best chance to reduce the deficit came in the 80th minute, but Dvořák made a reflex save from point-blank range.
