Hosts take control early

Slovan Liberec II set the tone from the opening stages, pressing with energy and moving the ball quickly through midfield. The reserve side looked comfortable in possession and created chances at a steady rate, forcing FK Horni Redice into a long defensive spell.

The opening goal arrived after a period of sustained pressure, and it opened the floodgates. Slovan added to their lead with further attacks down the flanks and through the middle, exposing gaps as Horni Redice tried to push out and respond. By half-time, the hosts had established a commanding cushion and full control of the match.

Second-half professionalism

Rather than easing off, Slovan Liberec II continued to play with rhythm after the restart. The hosts added more goals and kept their attacking movements sharp, rotating the ball well and finding space in the final third. Their five-goal tally reflected both the quality of their finishing and the number of chances created.

FK Horni Redice did manage a consolation goal, which was a small reward for their persistence. The visitors kept working until the end and had brief spells of possession, but they were unable to cope with Slovan’s speed of play and the pressure that followed almost every turnover.

Tactical story

Slovan Liberec II’s success was built on aggressive pressing and quick ball recovery. The home side won second balls in midfield, used the width to stretch Horni Redice’s back line and attacked the penalty area with numbers. It was a complete attacking performance, with the scoring threat coming from several areas of the team.

Horni Redice struggled to contain those transitions. Once Slovan broke the first line of pressure, the visitors were often left exposed, and the home side’s forwards took full advantage. Horni Redice’s best moments came when they slowed the tempo and played through midfield, but those spells were too rare to change the outcome.

Standout performers

Slovan Liberec II’s attacking unit deserved the plaudits, but the platform was laid by a dominant midfield display. The hosts controlled the rhythm of the game, won loose balls and kept supplying the front line with quality service. The defensive line also stayed composed when Horni Redice pushed forward in the second half.

For FK Horni Redice, the consolation goal was a positive note on a difficult afternoon. Their goalkeeper was kept busy throughout, while the outfield players continued to compete despite the scoreline moving away from them.

What the result means

The 5-1 win is a significant statement for Slovan Liberec II in the Czech Third League. It strengthens their goal difference, provides momentum and underlines the depth available within the reserve setup. For FK Horni Redice, the heavy defeat is a reminder of the standards required defensively in the division, and the focus will quickly turn to tightening up before the next fixture.

Results like this can shape the mood around a squad for weeks. Slovan Liberec II will look to carry the attacking confidence forward, while Horni Redice must regroup and produce a far more compact performance in their next league outing.
