TJ Svitavy 1-3 Trutnov — Trutnov produced a commanding away performance on Sunday evening, beating TJ Svitavy 3-1 in the Czech Fourth Division with a display built on clinical finishing and disciplined defending.

The visitors looked the more composed side from the opening whistle, controlling the tempo of the match and taking their chances when they arrived. Svitavy, backed by a lively home crowd, showed spirit and never stopped pushing, but they were undone by a ruthless spell either side of half-time that effectively decided the fixture.

Match Overview

Trutnov set up with a narrow midfield and looked to funnel play towards the flanks before delivering early crosses. It was a purposeful start, and it brought rewards quickly: sustained pressure resulted in the opening goal, with Jan Kopecký finishing neatly after a well-worked move down the right.

Svitavy responded with their best period of the match, pressing higher and forcing a series of corners. Their reward came through Lukáš Doubrava, who pulled one back with a close-range finish to briefly level the contest and lift the home support heading towards the interval.

Key Moments

• Trutnov opener: Kopecký converted from inside the box after a slick passing sequence down the right flank.
• Svitavy equaliser: Doubrava reacted first to a scramble following a corner to make it 1-1.
• Second half, Trutnov retake the lead: Kopecký grabbed his second, finishing on the counter after Svitavy committed numbers forward.
• Late clincher: Radek Havel sealed the win with a composed finish in the closing stages, killing off any hopes of a home comeback.

Tactical Story

The decisive factor was how well Trutnov managed transitions. Svitavy committed full-backs forward in search of a second goal, and that left space behind for Trutnov's front players to attack. Both second-half goals arrived from situations where the home side had pushed too many bodies into the attacking third.

Svitavy's midfield worked hard and won plenty of second balls, but their build-up play was often too slow, allowing Trutnov to drop into a low block and defend the central areas. When the home side did get into wide positions, the final delivery too often lacked the quality needed to trouble a well-organised defence.

Standout Players

Jan Kopecký was the clear man of the match, with two goals that showcased both his movement in the box and his composure in one-on-one situations. Radek Havel added the finishing touch with a goal and an industrious display in the attacking third.

For Svitavy, Lukáš Doubrava was the brightest note, showing good awareness to convert his chance and leading the line with energy throughout. Their goalkeeper also produced two fine saves to keep the scoreline respectable.

Season Impact

Three points on the road is always valuable in the Czech Fourth Division, and Trutnov will take particular encouragement from the manner of the victory — controlling key moments rather than simply riding their luck. It is the kind of away performance that builds confidence for the weeks ahead.

TJ Svitavy, meanwhile, are left to reflect on the fine margins that decide matches at this level. Their attacking intent was evident, but tightening up their defensive shape when pushing for goals will be the priority as the season progresses.
