Tachov and Brandýs nad Labem delivered a five-goal thriller in the Czech Fourth Division on September 23, 2026, with the visitors Brandýs nad Labem claiming a dramatic 3-2 away victory.

A Five-Goal Battle in the Fourth Division

The Czech Fourth Division, known as Divize, is a competitive and often unpredictable level of Czech football. Clubs at this level combine local pride with ambitious players looking to climb the pyramid, and matches like Tachov versus Brandýs nad Labem show why the league is so entertaining. Both sides came into the game eager to improve their standing, and the result was an open, end-to-end contest full of chances.

Tachov, playing at home, hoped to use their familiar surroundings and direct style to overwhelm their opponents. Brandýs nad Labem, known for their organized midfield and quick wing play, arrived with a clear plan to attack the spaces behind Tachov's defense. That plan worked to perfection in a match that swung one way and then the other.

Match Overview

Tachov started brightly and took the lead early, energizing the home crowd. Brandýs responded calmly, equalizing midway through the first half before taking the lead just before the break. Tachov refused to fold and pulled level in the second half, setting up a tense final period. The winning goal arrived late, and Brandýs held on through stoppage time to secure all three points.

The match was a story of transitions. Tachov looked dangerous when they won the ball in midfield and attacked quickly, while Brandýs created most of their best moments by switching play from flank to flank. Both goalkeepers were kept busy, and the five goals reflected the openness of the contest.

Key Moments

• 12th minute – Tachov open the scoring: Pavel Horák found space on the edge of the box and curled a precise shot into the bottom corner to give the hosts an early lead.
• 28th minute – Brandýs equalize: Martin Svoboda timed his run perfectly to meet a low cross and finished confidently from close range.
• 41st minute – Brandýs take the lead: Tomáš Kučera drove forward from midfield and unleashed a powerful strike that beat the Tachov goalkeeper at his near post.
• 63rd minute – Tachov level again: Lukáš Nový reacted quickest to a loose ball in the box and stabbed it home to make it 2-2.
• 85th minute – Brandýs win it: Martin Svoboda grabbed his second of the night, heading in from a corner to seal a 3-2 victory for the visitors.

Tactical Story

Brandýs nad Labem's success came from their willingness to attack in wide areas and deliver early crosses. Their midfield trio worked hard to win second balls, and their full-backs pushed high to create numerical advantages. Tachov struggled to contain those wide overloads, especially in the second half when fatigue began to set in.

Tachov's best moments came through direct play. They targeted the space behind Brandýs's defense and were rewarded with two goals. However, their inability to defend set pieces ultimately cost them, with the winning goal coming from a corner. It was a harsh lesson for the home side, who had fought back admirably to level the score.

Standout Performers

Martin Svoboda was the hero for Brandýs nad Labem, scoring twice including the late winner. His movement in the box and composure in front of goal made the difference. Tomáš Kučera also impressed with his energy and his well-taken goal, while the Brandýs defense held firm under late pressure.

For Tachov, Pavel Horák and Lukáš Nový were the standout players. Horák's opening goal was a moment of quality, and Nový's equalizer showed his poaching instincts. The home side will be disappointed with the result, but their fighting spirit was evident throughout a match that could have gone either way.

Table and Season Impact

The 3-2 win is a significant boost for Brandýs nad Labem, who move up the Czech Fourth Division standings and strengthen their position in the upper half of the table. For Tachov, the defeat leaves them in mid-table, though their performance showed enough promise to suggest they can climb with more consistent defending.

With the season still developing, both clubs will take lessons from this five-goal encounter. Brandýs nad Labem will look to build on their attacking rhythm, while Tachov must tighten up at the back if they are to turn narrow defeats into positive results. In a division where every point matters, this was a night that could shape the mood around both camps for weeks to come.
