Kozlovice and TJ Sokol Lanzhot played out a hard-fought 0-0 draw in the Czech Fourth Division on 25 October 2026, with both defences emerging on top. Clear chances were rare, but the contest was far from dull, featuring a tense midfield battle, disciplined back lines and two goalkeepers who made important interventions when called upon.

Match overview

Kozlovice enjoyed slightly more of the ball in the first half, building patiently from the back and looking to work openings down the flanks. TJ Sokol Lanzhot responded with a compact defensive block and looked to hit on the break, using quick direct passes to relieve pressure.

As the game wore on, the space in midfield tightened. Both teams were cautious about committing too many players forward, and the final third became a battleground of blocked shots, cleared crosses and contested aerial duels. Neither side found the decisive moment.

Key moments

Kozlovice’s best spell came before the interval, when a series of corners caused problems in the Lanzhot penalty area. The visitors survived those scares and grew into the game after the restart, forcing two saves from the Kozlovice goalkeeper.

At the other end, Lanzhot’s centre-backs dealt well with long balls and crosses. The closest either team came to a breakthrough was from a set piece, but the final touch was missing and the score remained level.

Tactical story

This was a match defined by organisation. Kozlovice tried to create overloads in wide areas, while TJ Sokol Lanzhot sat deep and denied central space. The away side’s counter-attacks lacked the final pass, but their defensive discipline earned them a valuable point on the road.

Kozlovice will feel they had enough territory to win, yet they struggled to turn possession into clear shots. Lanzhot, meanwhile, will be pleased with a clean sheet and a resilient away performance.

Standout performers

Both goalkeepers deserve mention for their handling and decision-making. The centre-back pairings were also strong, winning headers and making timely clearances. In midfield, the captains set the tone with work rate and tactical discipline.

Season impact

A point apiece keeps both teams moving in a competitive Czech Fourth Division campaign. Kozlovice will look to convert more of their possession into goals, while TJ Sokol Lanzhot can take confidence from a solid defensive display. The 0-0 scoreline may not excite neutral fans, but it reflected a closely matched contest.
