Jiskra Usti nad Orlici 2-1 FK Kolin: Late Toman Strike Seals Home Win

Jiskra Usti nad Orlici came from behind to defeat FK Kolin 2-1 in the Czech Fourth Division on October 4, 2026, with Michal Toman scoring a late winner to send the home crowd into celebration. It was a match of momentum shifts, but Jiskra’s persistence ultimately paid off.

Match Overview

FK Kolin started brightly and took the lead inside the first 20 minutes through Tomáš Beneš, who finished calmly after a quick break. Jiskra struggled to find rhythm early on, but they grew into the game as the first half progressed. Their midfield began to win more second balls, and the equaliser arrived shortly after the restart.

Václav Rada levelled the score with a well-placed effort, and from that point Jiskra looked the more likely side to win. They pushed numbers forward, forced a series of corners and finally found the breakthrough in the 84th minute when Michal Toman struck from the edge of the area.

Key Moments

• 18th minute: Tomáš Beneš put FK Kolin ahead with a composed finish on the counter-attack.
• 52nd minute: Václav Rada equalised for Jiskra Usti nad Orlici with a low drive from just outside the box.
• 84th minute: Michal Toman scored the winner, reacting quickest to a loose ball and firing home.
• 90+3 minutes: Kolin’s final set-piece was cleared as Jiskra held on for all three points.

Tactical Story

Jiskra set up with a possession-based 4-3-3, looking to overload the flanks and deliver early crosses. Kolin, by contrast, defended in a disciplined 4-4-2 and tried to hit on the break. That approach worked perfectly for the opening goal, but as the game wore on Kolin dropped deeper and invited pressure.

The home side’s substitutions made a difference. Fresh legs in wide areas stretched the Kolin defence, and the winning goal came from a moment of penalty-box chaos that Jiskra managed better than their opponents.

Standout Players

Václav Rada drove Jiskra forward throughout and scored the crucial equaliser. Michal Toman, who had been lively since coming on, took his late chance with real conviction. For Kolin, Tomáš Beneš was their brightest spark and caused problems with his movement before fading in the second half.

Table Impact

The victory gives Jiskra Usti nad Orlici a valuable three points in the Czech Fourth Division and boosts their confidence after a difficult opening period. FK Kolin leave empty-handed despite a promising start and will be frustrated to concede so late.
