SK Ujezd Praha 4 edged FK Banik Sokolov 3-2 in a pulsating Czech Fourth Division match on Saturday, 24 October 2026, with a late goal deciding a contest that swung back and forth from the opening minutes.

Ujezd built a two-goal lead, Sokolov fought back bravely to level the score, but the visitors found one final moment of quality to claim all three points. The result is a significant boost for Ujezd’s promotion ambitions and a frustrating setback for Sokolov on home soil.

Match overview

The visitors started brightly and were rewarded in the ninth minute when Jan Procházka finished a flowing move with a low strike into the bottom corner. Ujezd continued to press high and doubled their advantage in the 31st minute, Procházka again finding space inside the box and converting from close range.

Sokolov responded after the interval. A tactical adjustment gave them more presence in midfield, and Lukáš Havel pulled one back in the 54th minute with a well-timed run and a composed finish. The home side equalised in the 76th minute when David Král headed home from a corner, setting up a tense final stretch.

Just as the match appeared to be heading for a draw, Ujezd won a corner of their own in the 88th minute. The delivery was flicked on at the near post and Ondřej Beneš reacted quickest to stab the ball home from close range, sparking wild celebrations among the away players.

Tactical story

Ujezd Praha 4 were aggressive from the first whistle, pressing Sokolov’s defenders and forcing mistakes in dangerous areas. Their midfield pressed as a unit, and Procházka’s movement between the lines caused constant problems. The early two-goal cushion allowed them to play with confidence, though they were forced deeper as the match wore on.

Sokolov switched to a more direct 4-4-2 after the break, getting the ball forward quicker and using the width of the pitch to stretch Ujezd’s back line. The change worked, and their set-piece equaliser looked to have earned them a point. However, a momentary lapse in concentration at the late corner proved costly.

Standout players

Jan Procházka was the standout performer for SK Ujezd Praha 4, scoring twice and leading the line with intelligence. Ondřej Beneš will be remembered for the late winner, while Sokolov’s Lukáš Havel and David Král deserve credit for driving their team’s comeback.

The away win strengthens Ujezd Praha 4’s position in the Czech Fourth Division promotion race and gives them valuable momentum. For FK Banik Sokolov, the defeat is a missed opportunity to close the gap on the teams above them. With the standings still tight, both sides will know that results in matches like this can shape the entire season.
