Match Overview

The hosts played with width and tempo, repeatedly getting behind the Bermuda full-backs. Tactical Story

Saint Lucia lined up in an aggressive 4-3-3, with their wingers hugging the touchline to stretch Bermuda's back four. The midfield trio pressed in coordinated waves, forcing Bermuda into long balls that Saint Lucia's centre-backs dealt with comfortably. When Bermuda did break the press, they found space in wide areas, but their final pass was often rushed.

Bermuda switched to a back three after the third goal in an attempt to stabilize the match, but the change left them vulnerable to Saint Lucia's quick switches of play. The hosts' willingness to shoot from distance also kept Bermuda's goalkeeper busy. In the end, Saint Lucia's superior intensity and finishing made the difference in a match that was more competitive than the final score suggests.

Standout Players

Jervis Alcindor was the star of the show for Saint Lucia, scoring twice and constantly troubling Bermuda's defence with his movement. Kurt Frederick controlled the tempo from midfield and added a goal of his own. For Bermuda, Nahki Wells was a constant threat and took his goal well, while Zeiko Lewis showed flashes of creativity.

What It Means for the CONCACAF Nations League Table

The three points lift Saint Lucia into a stronger position in their CONCACAF Nations League group and give them momentum heading into their next fixtures. Bermuda, meanwhile, will need to tighten up defensively after conceding five goals. The result also adds to Saint Lucia's home record in the competition and could prove crucial if goal difference decides the final standings.
