FC SILON Táborsko 1-1 FK Třinec: Late equaliser denies hosts in Chance Národní Liga

FC SILON Táborsko were held to a 1-1 draw by FK Třinec in the Chance Národní Liga on Saturday, 24 October 2026, after the visitors found a late response at the Stadion v Kvapilově ulici. Táborsko had looked on course for a home victory, but Třinec’s persistence paid off with a share of the points.

The result extends Táborsko’s unbeaten run on home soil but leaves them frustrated after a game they controlled for long periods. For Třinec, the draw represents a valuable away point in the Czech second tier and another sign of their growing resilience.

Match overview

Táborsko began brightly and dictated the tempo early on. Their midfield pressed high, forcing Třinec into hurried clearances, and the opening goal arrived from a well-delivered set piece. Jakub Matoušek rose highest at the back post and headed the ball back across goal, where it was bundled over the line after a scramble.

Třinec responded well to going behind. They tightened up defensively and began to find space on the counter, particularly down the right flank. The equaliser came in the closing stages when substitute Tomáš Hrdlička latched onto a through ball and finished low past the goalkeeper, silencing the home crowd.

Key moments

• Set-piece breakthrough: Táborsko took the lead after a sustained spell of pressure, with Jakub Matoušek heavily involved.
• Třinec’s adjustment: The visitors changed shape midway through the second half and began to press higher.
• Late equaliser: Tomáš Hrdlička beat the offside trap and kept his composure to level the score.
• Stoppage-time scramble: Táborsko threw bodies forward in search of a winner, but Třinec’s defence survived a tense final few minutes.

Tactical story

Táborsko’s game plan was built on control and quick ball circulation. Their full-backs pushed high, allowing the wide forwards to drift inside and create overloads. That approach worked well in the first half, but it left space behind for Třinec to exploit as the game opened up after the break.

Třinec defended compactly and looked to spring forward through direct passes. Their equaliser was a perfect example of that strategy: a quick transition, a well-timed run and a composed finish. Táborsko will feel they should have managed the game better after taking the lead, while Třinec will point to their second-half improvement as proof of their character.

Standout performers

Matoušek was Táborsko’s standout player, causing problems with his aerial presence and link-up play. Třinec goalkeeper Vojtěch Novák made several important saves to keep his side within reach before the equaliser. Hrdlička’s impact from the bench was decisive, giving Třinec a focal point in the final third.

What the draw means

For Táborsko, the draw is a missed opportunity to strengthen their position in the upper half of the Chance Národní Liga table. They remain in contention for the promotion places but will need to turn home dominance into victories. Třinec, by contrast, will view the point as a platform to build on as they look to establish themselves in the division. The away performance showed they can compete with the league’s stronger sides when they defend well and take their chances.
