Xiamen Feilu powered to a 3-0 home win over Qingdao Red Lions in the Chinese Football League 2 on Sunday, October 18, 2026, producing one of their most complete displays of the season. Three unanswered goals and a clean sheet gave the home supporters plenty to celebrate and sent a clear message to the rest of the division.

Match overview

Xiamen Feilu started with intensity and never allowed Qingdao Red Lions to settle. The hosts pressed high, forced turnovers in dangerous areas, and moved the ball quickly through the wide channels. Qingdao Red Lions tried to respond with long balls and direct runs, but Xiamen’s defence stayed compact and won the majority of the physical duels. Once the opening goal arrived, the home side controlled the rhythm of the match and gradually wore down their opponents.

Key moments

• 9th minute – Xiamen Feilu take the lead: A high press forced a loose pass, and the home forward intercepted before finishing low into the corner.
• 36th minute – The second goal: Xiamen doubled their advantage with a well-worked move down the right, finished with a composed strike from inside the box.
• 63rd minute – Game sealed: A quick counter-attack ended with a third goal, as the Xiamen midfielder arrived late to convert a cut-back.
• 75th minute – Qingdao’s rare chance: The visitors created their best opportunity from a set piece, but the header went wide of the target.

Tactical story

Xiamen Feilu’s aggressive pressing and quick ball circulation were the foundations of the win. Their midfield won the battle for second balls, and the full-backs provided constant width, stretching Qingdao Red Lions’ defensive line. Qingdao struggled to build from the back and were often forced into hurried clearances. When they did win possession, their attacks lacked support and were easily snuffed out. Xiamen’s ability to transition from defence to attack in seconds was the decisive factor in a one-sided contest.

Standout players

Xiamen Feilu’s forward Lin Wei led the line with energy and intelligence, scoring the opener and linking play throughout. Midfielder Chen Hao controlled the tempo and capped his performance with the third goal. The centre-back pairing was dominant in the air and kept Qingdao’s strikers quiet. For Qingdao Red Lions, the goalkeeper made several saves to prevent a heavier defeat, but the team struggled to find any rhythm going forward.

Season impact

The three points strengthen Xiamen Feilu’s position in the Chinese Football League 2 standings and boost their confidence ahead of a demanding run of fixtures. A 3-0 home win with a clean sheet is a powerful statement of intent. Qingdao Red Lions, meanwhile, will need to regroup quickly and address their difficulties in possession. The defeat leaves them with work to do as they look to climb the table.
