Wuhan Three Towns B and Beijing IT played out a hard-fought 1-1 draw in the Chinese Football League 2 on October 11, 2026. Both sides had periods of dominance, but neither could find a winner in a tense final 20 minutes.

Match Overview

The reserve side of Wuhan Three Towns started brightly, using their pace on the flanks to stretch Beijing IT's defence. They took a deserved lead midway through the first half. However, Beijing IT grew into the game and equalised after the break with a well-worked move. The final stages saw chances at both ends, but a combination of resolute defending and wasteful finishing kept the score level.

• 45+1' – Chance: Beijing IT nearly responded immediately, but their striker's header hit the post.
• 72' – Goal: Beijing IT equalised through a low free-kick that found the bottom corner after a clever training-ground routine.

Tactical Story

Wuhan Three Towns B favoured a high-pressing 4-2-3-1, looking to force turnovers in Beijing IT's half. That worked well early on, but as the game wore on, their intensity dropped. Beijing IT switched to a 3-5-2 after the break, which gave them numerical superiority in midfield and allowed them to string passes together. The equaliser came from that adjustment. The late red card forced Wuhan to defend deep, but Beijing IT could not capitalise on the extra man.

Standout Players

Wuhan's goalscorer was a constant threat with his dribbling, while their goalkeeper made two crucial saves to preserve the draw. Beijing IT's midfielder who scored the free-kick was their best player, dictating tempo and creating chances. Both centre-backs had strong games, winning headers and making timely interceptions.

Season Impact

The draw leaves both teams in mid-table, with Wuhan Three Towns B and Beijing IT separated by a single point in the Chinese Football League 2 standings. A win would have pushed either side closer to the promotion play-off places, so both will view this as two points dropped. Next up, Wuhan face a tough away trip, while Beijing IT host a team below them in the table.
