Match overview

Tai’an Tiankuang started with purpose and took the lead in the 12th minute through Liu Jiawei, whose clever movement created space inside the penalty area. The home side dictated the tempo for much of the first half, but Chengdu Rongcheng B found a route back into the game in the 39th minute when Li Mingyu finished off a rare attacking sequence for the visitors.

The equaliser gave Chengdu brief encouragement, but Tai’an restored their advantage in the 54th minute through Wang Zhen. From that point, the hosts managed the game well, defended with greater urgency and added a third goal in the 82nd minute when Zhang Haoran capped a strong individual performance. Tactical story

Tai’an Tiankuang’s 3-1 victory was built on quick ball circulation and aggressive pressing in midfield. The hosts repeatedly forced Chengdu Rongcheng B into hurried clearances and won possession in areas that allowed them to attack directly. Liu Jiawei’s early goal set the tone, and Wang Zhen’s second-half strike came at a moment when Chengdu were beginning to tire.

Chengdu Rongcheng B showed flashes of quality, particularly in the build-up to Li Mingyu’s equaliser, but they struggled to sustain pressure. Their defensive line was pulled apart by Tai’an’s movement between the lines, and the third goal exposed the space that opened up as the visitors chased the game. Tai’an managed the closing stages professionally and rarely looked like surrendering their advantage.

Standout performers

Liu Jiawei’s opening goal and constant movement made him a constant threat, while Wang Zhen’s second-half goal proved to be the decisive moment of the contest. Zhang Haoran rounded off the scoring and was influential in linking midfield and attack. For Chengdu Rongcheng B, Li Mingyu was the standout performer, taking his goal well and offering the visitors their best attacking moments.

League impact

The win strengthens Tai’an Tiankuang’s position in the Chinese Football League 2 and gives them valuable momentum at home. For Chengdu Rongcheng B, the defeat highlights the challenge of converting promising spells into points. Tai’an’s ability to score at key moments — early in the first half, shortly after the restart and late in the second — was the difference between a narrow contest and a comfortable 3-1 result.
