Hangzhou Linping Wuyue 0-2 Shanghai Port B: Shanghai Port B Secure Professional Away Victory

Shanghai Port B claimed a deserved 2-0 away win over Hangzhou Linping Wuyue on Saturday, 19 September 2026, in the Chinese Football League 2. Goals in either half from Li Haoran and Zhang Wei gave the visitors a controlled victory, while Hangzhou struggled to create clear chances in front of their home supporters.

The result strengthens Shanghai Port B’s push for promotion and leaves Hangzhou Linping Wuyue with questions to answer after a disappointing home display. Shanghai Port B were sharper, more organised, and more clinical in the final third.

Match Overview

Shanghai Port B began the match with a clear plan: defend in a compact block and attack quickly through the wings. They took the lead in the 37th minute when Li Haoran received the ball on the edge of the box, shifted it onto his left foot, and curled a shot into the far corner. Hangzhou responded with a few half-chances, but their final pass was often lacking.

The second half was more of the same. Hangzhou pushed more players forward, but Shanghai Port B remained dangerous on the counter. The visitors sealed the win in the 79th minute when Zhang Wei latched onto a through ball, rounded the goalkeeper, and tapped into an empty net. Hangzhou’s best opportunity came late on, but a fine save from the Shanghai Port B goalkeeper preserved the clean sheet.

Key Moments

• 37th minute: Li Haoran opens the scoring with a curling effort from the edge of the box.
• 52nd minute: Hangzhou force a good save from the Shanghai Port B goalkeeper.
• 79th minute: Zhang Wei doubles the lead after a rapid counter-attack.
• 90th minute: Shanghai Port B defend a late corner to keep their clean sheet intact.

Tactical Story

Shanghai Port B’s defensive organisation was the platform for their victory. They kept a compact back four, denied space between the lines, and forced Hangzhou to play sideways. When they won the ball, they transitioned quickly, with Li Haoran and Zhang Wei proving a constant threat.

Hangzhou Linping Wuyue struggled to break down the low block. Their midfielders often received the ball with their backs to goal, and their strikers were isolated. The home side improved after making substitutions, but by then Shanghai Port B were comfortably managing the game and protecting their lead.

Standout Players

Li Haoran was Shanghai Port B’s most influential player, scoring the opener and linking play intelligently. Zhang Wei’s pace caused problems all evening, and his goal was a reward for his persistent running. For Hangzhou, their goalkeeper made several saves to keep the score respectable, but the team lacked a cutting edge in the final third.

What It Means

Shanghai Port B move into a strong position in the Chinese Football League 2 promotion race and will take confidence from a professional away performance. Hangzhou Linping Wuyue remain in mid-table but need to improve their home form if they are to climb the standings. With the season still young, both clubs have time to shape their campaigns, but this night belonged entirely to Shanghai Port B.
