Tactical Story

Wenzhou Yincai U20 lined up in an attacking 4-2-3-1 and overwhelmed Lanzhou with their movement and quick passing. The front four interchanged positions constantly, making it impossible for the visitors to mark them effectively. Lanzhou Longyuan Athletic U20 attempted to defend deep, but their lack of pressure on the ball allowed Wenzhou to dictate tempo and create chance after chance. The hosts' full-backs also pushed high, adding extra width to an already potent attack.

Chen Kai was the undisputed star of the show with a clinical hat-trick, while Li Peng pulled the strings in midfield and scored a spectacular free-kick. Winger Zhang Wei provided two assists with his incisive running. For Lanzhou Longyuan Athletic U20, goalkeeper Ma Jun made several saves to prevent an even more embarrassing scoreline, but he was left exposed by his defence throughout.

Season Impact

The emphatic win gives Wenzhou Yincai U20 a massive boost in goal difference and moves them into a strong position in the CFA U-21 League standings. Lanzhou Longyuan Athletic U20, meanwhile, will need to regroup quickly after a demoralising defeat that exposes serious defensive frailties. Wenzhou's performance serves notice that they are a team capable of challenging at the top end of the table.
