Zhejiang Professional FC U20 produced a dominant away performance to defeat Shaanxi Union U20 4-0 in the Chinese Football Association U-21 League on Sunday afternoon. A professional, patient display saw Zhejiang score twice in each half, extending their impressive run of form while leaving Shaanxi to reflect on a disappointing home defeat.

Match Overview

Zhejiang controlled the contest from the opening exchanges, dictating the tempo through midfield and forcing Shaanxi into a series of defensive errors. The visitors took the lead inside ten minutes and never looked back, adding a second before the break and then scoring twice more in the second half as Shaanxi’s resistance faded. The margin of victory could have been even greater had Zhejiang been more clinical in front of goal.

Key Moments

• 8’ – Goal, Zhejiang: Li Haoran opened the scoring with a first-time finish after a clever cut-back from the left.
• 33’ – Goal, Zhejiang: Zhang Yuxuan doubled the lead with a curling effort from just outside the box.
• 61’ – Goal, Zhejiang: Chen Ziyang added a third, finishing calmly after a swift counter-attack.
• 82’ – Goal, Zhejiang: Wang Jiahao completed the scoring with a powerful header from a corner.

Tactical Story

Zhejiang lined up in a 4-2-3-1 with an emphasis on quick vertical passes and overlapping full-backs. Their midfield duo consistently won the second ball, allowing the attacking players to isolate Shaanxi’s defenders in one-on-one situations. Shaanxi attempted to press high early on, but once Zhejiang played through the first line of pressure, the home side’s shape became disjointed and easy to exploit.

The second half followed a similar pattern. Shaanxi pushed more bodies forward in search of a route back into the game, but that only created more space for Zhejiang to counter into. The fourth goal, from a set piece, was a fitting summary of the visitors’ superiority in both open play and dead-ball situations.

Standout Players

Li Haoran was a constant threat with his movement and link-up play, while Zhang Yuxuan controlled the tempo from midfield and capped his performance with a well-taken goal. Chen Ziyang and Wang Jiahao also impressed, with the latter’s aerial presence causing problems throughout. For Shaanxi, goalkeeper Liu Peng was kept busy and made a handful of saves to keep the score respectable.

League Impact

The three points strengthen Zhejiang’s position in the Chinese Football Association U-21 League standings and underline their credentials as one of the division’s most consistent sides. Shaanxi, meanwhile, remain in search of defensive stability and will need a swift response in their next fixture. With the season progressing, Zhejiang’s ability to score goals from multiple sources makes them a dangerous opponent for any team in the league.
