Supra Du Quebec Run Riot with 5-0 Demolition of Pacific FC

Supra Du Quebec produced one of the most emphatic performances of the Canadian Premier League season, dismantling Pacific FC 5-0 at a raucous home ground. The victory sends a clear message to the rest of the league, as the Quebec side showcased ruthless finishing and suffocating defensive pressure from the opening whistle.

Pacific FC, who entered the match with hopes of climbing the table, were simply overwhelmed. Supra Du Quebec’s attacking quartet tormented the Pacific backline all evening, and the scoreline could have been even more lopsided had it not been for a few smart saves from the visiting goalkeeper.

Match Overview

The hosts took the lead inside the first ten minutes and never looked back. By halftime, the score was already 3-0, with Pacific FC struggling to string together passes and losing possession cheaply in midfield. The second half was more of the same, as Supra added two more goals to complete the rout.

Supra Du Quebec controlled 62% of possession and registered 18 shots, 11 of them on target. Pacific FC managed just four attempts, none of which truly tested the home goalkeeper. The clean sheet was the team's fifth of the campaign and underlined their credentials as genuine title contenders.

Key Moments

• 8' – Goal: Jean-Luc Bouchard opened the scoring with a clinical finish from the edge of the box after a slick passing move.
• 23' – Goal: Mathieu Tremblay doubled the lead, heading home a pinpoint cross from the left wing.
• 41' – Goal: Bouchard turned provider, slipping a through ball to Samuel Girard, who coolly slotted past the goalkeeper.
• 58' – Goal: Bouchard completed his brace with a powerful strike from 20 yards that flew into the top corner.
• 77' – Goal: Substitute Olivier Leclerc added the fifth, tapping in from close range after a goalmouth scramble.

Tactical Story

Supra Du Quebec set up in a fluid 4-3-3 that pressed Pacific FC high up the pitch, forcing turnovers in dangerous areas. The midfield trio of Girard, Tremblay, and captain Antoine Beaulieu dominated the center, while the full-backs pushed forward to create overloads on the flanks.

Pacific FC attempted to play out from the back but were repeatedly caught in possession. Their defensive line sat too deep, allowing Supra to camp in the final third. When Pacific did manage to break, their counter-attacks were snuffed out by the home side's aggressive counter-press.

Standout Performers

Jean-Luc Bouchard was the undisputed man of the match, scoring two goals and assisting another. His movement off the ball constantly pulled Pacific’s center-backs out of position. Mathieu Tremblay was a constant threat with his late runs into the box, and Samuel Girard dictated the tempo from midfield.

For Pacific FC, it was a night to forget. Goalkeeper Callum Irving made several saves to keep the score respectable, but the outfield players struggled to cope with Supra’s intensity.

What It Means for the Table

The three points lift Supra Du Quebec into the upper echelons of the Canadian Premier League standings, keeping pace with the early-season pacesetters. For Pacific FC, the heavy defeat raises questions about their defensive organization and consistency. They will need to regroup quickly ahead of their next fixture.

Supra Du Quebec’s fans will be dreaming of silverware after such a dominant display, but the coaching staff will be keen to keep the squad grounded. Next up is a tricky away trip, where they will look to build on this momentum.
