Colombe du Dja et Lobo edged Teunhueth FC 1-0 in a tightly contested CAF Champions League fixture on 25 October 2026, with a first-half set-piece goal proving enough to separate the sides.

Match overview

The home side started cautiously, prioritising defensive structure over early attacking ambition. Teunhueth FC saw more of the ball in the opening half-hour but struggled to create clear chances against a deep and organised back line. Colombe’s patience paid off in the 36th minute when a corner was flicked on and converted from close range.

After the break, Teunhueth increased the tempo and pushed more players forward. They hit the post in the 71st minute and forced a sharp save late on, but Colombe’s defenders threw themselves into blocks and protected the narrow lead with determination.

Key moments

• 36th minute: Colombe took the lead from a corner, scoring after a flick-on at the near post.
• 55th minute: Teunhueth’s first shot on target was comfortably gathered.
• 71st minute: A low effort beat the goalkeeper but struck the post.
• 88th minute: Colombe’s goalkeeper made a crucial save to preserve the clean sheet.

Tactical story

Colombe du Dja et Lobo set up to absorb pressure and attack through set pieces and quick transitions. Their midfield stayed compact, forcing Teunhueth into wide areas where crosses were easier to defend. Teunhueth’s possession was patient but lacked penetration until the final 20 minutes, by which time Colombe had settled into a resilient defensive rhythm.

Standout performers

Colombe’s centre-back was outstanding, winning headers and reading danger throughout. The goalkeeper made the decisive late save, while the set-piece delivery proved the difference. For Teunhueth, the midfielder who hit the post was their most creative outlet, but the visitors lacked a finishing touch.

What the result means

The three points give Colombe du Dja et Lobo a valuable winning start and a clean sheet to build on. Teunhueth FC leave with a narrow defeat but will take encouragement from their second-half response, though they will need to convert pressure into goals in their next CAF Champions League outing.
