Al-Hilal Omdurman claimed a 2-0 victory over Sidama Bunna in the CAF Champions League on 26 October 2026, using an early goal and a controlled second-half performance to secure all three points.

Match overview

Al-Hilal began brightly and needed only 11 minutes to take the lead, with a flowing move ending in a close-range finish. The early goal settled the hosts, who dominated possession and forced Sidama Bunna to defend deep. Sidama Bunna improved after the break and enjoyed brief spells of pressure, but they were punished again just before the hour mark.

Al-Hilal’s second goal came from a well-worked attack, as a midfielder found space between the lines and slipped a pass into the penalty area for a calm finish. From there, the Sudanese side managed the game professionally, limiting Sidama Bunna’s chances and protecting their goalkeeper.

Key moments

• 11th minute: Al-Hilal opened the scoring with a quick combination and a low finish.
• 34th minute: Sidama Bunna’s first serious shot was comfortably saved.
• 58th minute: Al-Hilal doubled the lead with a precise through-ball and composed finish.
• 76th minute: A Sidama Bunna free-kick drifted just wide as the visitors searched for a way back.

Tactical story

Al-Hilal’s experienced spine controlled the rhythm of the match. Their midfield rotated well, creating overloads on the flanks and allowing the full-backs to join attacks. Sidama Bunna tried to press higher in the second half, but that opened space for Al-Hilal to play through the middle and create the decisive second goal.

Standout performers

Al-Hilal’s captain led by example in midfield, breaking up play and distributing accurately. The centre-forward’s movement created space for others, while the goalkeeper made one important save at 1-0. Sidama Bunna’s goalkeeper kept the score respectable with several second-half stops.

What the result means

The win puts Al-Hilal Omdurman on three points and strengthens their position in the group table. For Sidama Bunna, the defeat highlights the need for greater composure in possession and a sharper edge in the final third as the continental campaign continues.
