Lekie Filles FC Women continued their strong run in the Cameroon Women's League with a commanding 2-0 victory over Eclair de Saa Women on 6 June 2026. The match, played under the lights at a neutral venue, saw the home side control proceedings from the opening whistle and secure three vital points in the league standings.

First-half dominance sets the tone

Lekie Filles came out aggressively, pressing high and disrupting Eclair de Saa’s build-up play. Their persistence paid off midway through the first half when a well-worked move down the right flank ended with a precise finish into the bottom corner. The goal settled any early nerves and allowed the home team to dictate the tempo.

Eclair de Saa struggled to create clear-cut chances, with Lekie’s defensive line holding firm and midfield runners tracking back effectively. The half ended with Lekie deservedly ahead and looking to add a second.

Second-half control and insurance goal

The second half followed a similar pattern. Lekie Filles remained patient in possession, drawing fouls and creating set-piece opportunities. Their second goal arrived just past the hour mark — a header from a corner kick that left the opposition goalkeeper with no chance. From that point, Lekie managed the game intelligently, rotating possession and keeping Eclair de Saa at arm’s length.

Despite late pressure from the visitors, Lekie’s defense stood tall to record a clean sheet and a deserved 2-0 win.

Impact on the league table

The result strengthened Lekie Filles FC Women’s position in the upper half of the Cameroon Women’s League table. For Eclair de Saa Women, the defeat was a setback in their campaign to climb away from the relegation zone. The two-goal margin reflected the dominance of a well-organized Lekie side that continues to show ambition this season.
