Tactical Story

Éclair de Saa Women set up in a compact defensive block after taking the lead, absorbing pressure and looking to hit on the counter. Authentic de Douala, known for their possession-based style, struggled to break down a well-organised back line. The home side's midfield worked tirelessly to close down passing lanes, forcing long-range shots that rarely troubled their goalkeeper.

Standout Players

Éclair de Saa's goalkeeper was the hero of the day, making seven saves, including several from point-blank range. The home team's centre-back pairing also earned praise for their last-ditch tackles and aerial dominance. For Authentic de Douala, the attacking midfielder was the most creative outlet but lacked support in the final third.

League Context

The victory moves Éclair de Saa Women up to fourth in the Cameroon Women's League standings, strengthening their bid for a top-three finish and a potential championship playoff spot. Authentic de Douala, meanwhile, remain in mid-table, their playoff hopes now hanging by a thread with only a handful of matches remaining.
