Match Overview

The opening stages saw AS Dibamba W press high and they were rewarded inside the first 15 minutes. A well‑worked corner found its way to the head of captain Ngo Mbele, who powered the ball past Lekie goalkeeper Fadimatou. However, Lekie Filles quickly regrouped, and by halftime they had turned the match on its head. Striker Esther Biya levelled with a composed finish after a defensive lapse, and midfielder Marie Claude added a second just before the break with a curling shot from outside the box.

• 12' – AS Dibamba W goal: Ngo Mbele header from a corner kick.
• 28' – Lekie Filles equalise: Esther Biya capitalises on a loose ball inside the area.

Tactical Story

AS Dibamba W started in a 4‑4‑2 formation, hoping to exploit width and crosses. Lekie Filles coach Jean‑Pierre Essomba countered with a compact 4‑3‑3, instructing his full‑backs to push high and press the home midfield. After going behind, Lekie increased their tempo, winning the second balls and forcing turnovers in dangerous areas. The three‑goal margin flattered neither side: AS Dibamba had spells of possession but lacked cutting edge in the final third.

Standout Players

• Esther Biya (Lekie Filles) – Her equaliser changed the momentum and she consistently troubled the home defence with intelligent runs.
• Marie Claude (Lekie Filles) – A dynamic midfield display capped by a brilliant goal; she also completed 85% of her passes.
• Ngo Mbele (AS Dibamba) – Despite the loss, the captain led by example and scored her team's only goal.

Season Impact

The victory moves Lekie Filles FC Women into fourth place, just two points behind the league leaders with a game in hand. For AS Dibamba W, the defeat keeps them in the lower half of the standings, now eight points adrift of the top three. The result also extends Lekie's unbeaten run to five matches, underlining their status as genuine contenders for the championship.
