The 2026 Cameroon Women's League continued on May 23 with a commanding performance by Amazone FAP Women, who swept aside AS Dibamba Women 3-0 at the Stade de la Réunification in Douala. The visitors delivered a ruthless display of attacking football to secure a vital three points and strengthen their position near the top of the league table.

Match Overview

From the opening whistle, Amazone FAP Women imposed their authority on the contest. The away side dominated possession and created a steady stream of chances, while AS Dibamba W struggled to break out of their defensive third. The scoreline could have been even heavier, but a combination of solid goalkeeping from Dibamba and some wayward finishing kept the gap to three goals.

Key Moments

• 12th minute – Amazone FAP Women open the scoring through a well-worked team move. Midfielder Nadine Ngo Mbele picked out striker Marie Epanya with a precise through ball, and Epanya slotted calmly past the Dibamba keeper.
• 38th minute – The visitors double their lead. A corner kick was poorly cleared by the Dibamba defence, allowing defender Prisca Tiam to volley home from the edge of the box.
• 67th minute – Amazone FAP Women seal the victory. Substitute Brigitte Eyanga latched onto a long ball, held off a defender, and fired into the bottom corner to make it 3-0.

Tactical Story

Amazone FAP Women employed a high-pressing system that suffocated AS Dibamba's attempts to build from the back. The midfield trio of Ngo Mbele, Christelle Nkada, and Raïssa Mbella controlled the tempo, recycling possession quickly and forcing Dibamba into rushed clearances. AS Dibamba, meanwhile, struggled to connect their midfield and attack, creating few meaningful chances. Their lone striker was isolated for most of the match, and the wingers were unable to make inroads against a disciplined Amazone back line.

Standout Players

• Marie Epanya (Amazone FAP) – The striker was a constant threat, scoring one goal and assisting another. Her movement off the ball stretched the Dibamba defence throughout.
• Prisca Tiam (Amazone FAP) – Solid at the back and dangerous from set pieces, Tiam scored a crucial second goal and kept a clean sheet.
• Brigitte Eyanga (Amazone FAP) – The impact substitute made the game safe with her goal and added energy to the forward line.

Table and Season Impact

With this victory, Amazone FAP Women moved into second place in the Cameroon Women's League standings, narrowing the gap to the leaders. Their goal difference also received a significant boost. For AS Dibamba W, the defeat leaves them languishing in the lower half of the table, now four points clear of the relegation zone but with work to do if they hope to climb higher. The loss also extended their winless streak at home to three matches.

The comprehensive nature of the result underscores the growing strength of Amazone FAP Women, who are emerging as genuine title contenders this season. For AS Dibamba, the focus will turn to regrouping ahead of their next fixture, where they face another side in the top half of the standings.
