Panthere Sportive du Nde came from behind to beat PWD de Bamenda 3-2 in a pulsating Cameroon Elite One encounter on 18 October 2026. The match produced five goals, a half-time lead for the visitors and a second-half turnaround that had the home crowd at the Stade Municipal de Bangangté on its feet.

PWD de Bamenda will feel they let a valuable result slip after leading 2-1 at the break, but Panthere’s improved control after half-time and their willingness to attack in numbers ultimately earned them all three points.

Match overview

Panthere started brightly and took the lead in the 18th minute when Arnaud Tchoumi latched onto a through ball and finished confidently. PWD responded well, pressing higher and forcing mistakes in the Panthere midfield. Their equaliser came in the 34th minute through Christian Nkoudou, who converted from the edge of the box after a smart lay-off.

Two minutes before half-time, PWD turned the game around. A quick break down the right ended with a low cross that was turned in at the back post, sending the visitors into the interval with a 2-1 advantage.

The winner came in the 85th minute, with substitute Yannick Mbarga finishing a flowing move from close range.

Tactical story

PWD’s high press caused Panthere problems in the first half, forcing rushed passes and creating chances in transition. Their two goals came from exactly that approach: winning the ball quickly and attacking before Panthere could reset.

Panthere’s response was to play more directly after half-time and use the width of the pitch. Their full-backs pushed higher, the midfield pressed closer to the strikers and the delivery into the box became more consistent. That shift in momentum proved decisive, especially once PWD began to tire in the final 20 minutes.

Standout players

Arnaud Tchoumi was the hero for Panthere with two well-taken goals and constant movement across the front line. Yannick Mbarga also deserves credit for his impact from the bench. For PWD, Christian Nkoudou was dangerous throughout and gave the Panthere defence a difficult evening.

What it means for the table

The win lifts Panthere Sportive du Nde into a stronger position in the Cameroon Elite One standings and gives them confidence ahead of a demanding run of fixtures. PWD de Bamenda remain competitive but will be frustrated by a second-half collapse. In a league where away points are precious, this will feel like a missed opportunity for the visitors.
