Singapore U17 Women and Indonesia Women U17 Play Out Goalless Draw in CA U17W C

Singapore U17 Women and Indonesia Women U17 shared the spoils in a hard-fought 0-0 draw in the CA U17W C competition on 11 October 2026. Despite the lack of goals, the match offered plenty of intensity, tactical discipline, and several moments of real quality at both ends.

The result gives each team a valuable point in the group standings, but both sides will feel they had chances to take all three.

Match Overview

The first half was a cagey affair, with both teams cautious in possession and eager to avoid early mistakes. Singapore U17 Women looked to press high and force turnovers, while Indonesia Women U17 preferred to build patiently from the back and use their wide players to stretch the opposition.

The second half opened up considerably. Indonesia created the clearest opportunity from a penalty, but Singapore’s goalkeeper produced a crucial save. Singapore then had a goal ruled out for offside, and Indonesia pushed for a late winner only to be denied by a brave defensive block.

Key Moments

• 18th minute: Singapore U17 Women created the first real chance, forcing a sharp save from the Indonesia goalkeeper.
• 34th minute: Indonesia Women U17 went close from a free-kick, curling the ball just past the post.
• 57th minute: Indonesia won a penalty, but Singapore’s goalkeeper guessed correctly and made a superb save.
• 79th minute: Singapore found the net from a corner, but the referee ruled the goal out for offside.
• 90+2 minutes: Indonesia’s final attack was stopped by a last-ditch block inside the penalty area.

Tactical Story

Both teams prioritised defensive structure. Singapore U17 Women sat in a compact 4-4-2 out of possession, making it difficult for Indonesia to play through the middle. Indonesia Women U17 responded by switching play frequently, but their crosses were often cleared by Singapore’s well-organised centre-backs.

In possession, Singapore looked most dangerous on the counter-attack. Their wingers ran directly at Indonesia’s full-backs, while Indonesia’s best moments came from set-pieces and quick combinations around the edge of the box. The tactical battle ended level, with neither defence willing to break.

Standout Players

Singapore U17 Women’s goalkeeper was the player of the match, making the penalty save and several other important stops. Centre-back Nur Aisyah was calm in possession and dominant in the air, while midfielder Chloe Tan covered an enormous amount of ground.

For Indonesia Women U17, captain Putri Amelia led by example at the back, reading the game well and stepping out of defence to intercept passes. Midfielder Sari Wijaya was the creative spark, and her set-piece delivery caused problems throughout.

Season Impact

The goalless draw leaves both teams with a point in the CA U17W C standings. Singapore U17 Women will take confidence from their defensive resilience and penalty save, while Indonesia Women U17 will feel they did enough to win but lacked the final finish.

Both sides remain in contention in the group, and their next fixtures will be crucial as they look to turn promising performances into victories.
