Beroe worked hard and had a few bright spells, but Ludogorets’ superior quality in the final third made the difference. The result extends Ludogorets’ strong cup form and leaves Beroe to focus on league matters after a difficult night against one of Bulgaria’s strongest sides.

Tactical Story

Ludogorets’ dominance was built on quick ball movement and intelligent pressing. They won possession high up the pitch and attacked immediately, denying Beroe time to reorganise. The visitors also used their wide players effectively, stretching Beroe’s back line and creating space for midfield runners.

Beroe attempted to stay compact and hit on the break, but they struggled to keep the ball long enough to relieve pressure. Once Ludogorets scored the second goal, the home side’s resistance faded, and the visitors comfortably saw out the final stages. The clean sheet was a fair reflection of their control.

Standout Players

Ivan Petrov was the standout performer with two well-taken goals, leading the line with intelligence and composure. Rafael Costa added quality from midfield and capped his display with the third goal. For Beroe, the goalkeeper made several saves to keep the score down, while their captain tried to drive the team forward from midfield.

What It Means

Ludogorets move into the next round with confidence and a clear statement of intent in the Bulgarian Cup. The win also allows them to rotate squad members while maintaining momentum in a busy season. Beroe will be disappointed with the manner of the defeat, but the cup exit gives them a chance to regroup and concentrate on their league campaign.
