Stockay-Warfusee produced a strong second-half display to beat AS Eupen U21 3-1 in BSA D on 25 October 2026, turning a tight contest into a convincing home victory. The hosts were sharper after the interval and scored twice in the second period to secure all three points at the Stade Communal de Stockay.

Match overview

Stockay-Warfusee started brightly and took an early lead when a well-timed run from midfield was picked out inside the penalty area. The finish was calm and low, giving the home side the perfect platform. AS Eupen U21 responded well, pressing higher and forcing several corners, and their persistence paid off before half-time when a deflected shot from the edge of the box found the bottom corner.

The second half was a different story. Stockay-Warfusee raised their intensity, won more second balls and began to pin the young Eupen side back. The home side regained the lead from a set piece, with a header directed powerfully beyond the goalkeeper. Eupen U21 tried to respond, but Stockay’s midfield kept the game under control and added a third goal late on after a quick break down the left ended with a composed finish at the near post.

Tactical story and standout performers

Stockay-Warfusee’s midfield was the foundation of the win. Their ability to win second balls allowed the home side to sustain pressure and keep Eupen’s young midfield from settling. The No. 10 was particularly influential, dropping deep to link play and then arriving in the box when the opportunity arose. The home centre-backs also deserve credit for dealing with Eupen’s pace, especially during a difficult spell before half-time.

AS Eupen U21 showed flashes of real quality, especially in the first half when their quick passing caused problems. Their equaliser was deserved on the balance of play at that stage, but they struggled to maintain the same intensity after the interval. The experience of Stockay’s senior figures told in the final half-hour, and the third goal capped a mature team performance.

BSA D table impact

The three points lift Stockay-Warfusee’s BSA D campaign and give them momentum for the weeks ahead. The scoreline also improves their goal difference, which could prove important in a tightly grouped table. For AS Eupen U21, the defeat is a learning experience; the young side competed well for long spells but will need to manage the physical demands of away matches more effectively.

Stockay-Warfusee will now look to build on a home win that had a bit of everything: an early goal, a setback before half-time and a dominant second-half response. The result was a fair reflection of their control after the break.
