CRB U20 and CSA U20 shared a 0-0 draw in the Campeonato Alagoano U20 on 27 October 2026, as the Clássico das Multidões youth edition ended level after a contest of compact defending, midfield intensity and excellent goalkeeping.

CRB U20 started the brighter of the two teams, pressing high and forcing CSA U20 into a series of early clearances. CSA grew into the game as the first half progressed, finding space on the counter and testing the CRB goalkeeper before the break. The second half was more open, but both defenses held firm and neither side could find the decisive goal.

Match overview

The derby atmosphere was reflected in the intensity of the opening 20 minutes, with both teams snapping into tackles and refusing to give their opponents time on the ball. CRB U20's midfield pressed aggressively, while CSA U20 looked to absorb that pressure and hit on the break through their wide forwards.

As the match wore on, the game became a battle of wills in the middle third. CRB had more possession but struggled to break down CSA's low block, while CSA's best moments came from set pieces and quick transitions. The final 15 minutes produced a flurry of chances, but both goalkeepers stood tall to preserve their clean sheets.

Key moments

• 14th minute: CRB U20 created the first clear chance, but a low shot from the edge of the box was saved by the CSA goalkeeper.
• 39th minute: CSA U20 broke quickly down the left, but the final cross was headed over the bar.
• 52nd minute: CRB U20 had the ball in the net from a corner, but the goal was ruled out for offside.
• 88th minute: CSA U20's best chance of the match came from a free-kick, but the CRB goalkeeper made a superb diving save.

Tactical story

CRB U20's approach was built on possession and patient build-up, but CSA U20's compact 4-4-2 made it difficult for them to find central spaces. CRB's full-backs pushed high to provide width, yet CSA's midfielders worked hard to cover the channels and force deliveries into the box that their centre-backs could deal with.

CSA U20, meanwhile, were content to defend in numbers and attack in transition. Their wingers stayed high, looking to exploit the space behind CRB's advanced full-backs. The game became a tactical stalemate: CRB had the ball, CSA had the shape, and neither could find the moment of quality to break the deadlock.

Standout performers

Both goalkeepers were outstanding. The CRB U20 goalkeeper made the save of the match late on and commanded his area well throughout, while his CSA counterpart was equally impressive in the first half, denying CRB's forwards from close range. The two centre-back pairings also deserve praise for their concentration and physicality in a derby that demanded composure as much as aggression.

What the result means

The draw gives both teams a point in the Campeonato Alagoano U20 standings and keeps the rivalry balanced for now. CRB U20 will feel they had enough possession to win, but they lacked the final pass in the attacking third. CSA U20 will be pleased with their defensive discipline and their ability to create chances on the counter. With the head-to-head still tight, both sides will look to build on this performance in their next fixtures.
