São Paulo Women secured a valuable 2-1 away victory over Corinthians Women in the Majestoso Feminino on September 27, 2026, handing the home side a rare defeat in the Brazil Women’s League. In one of the biggest rivalries in South American women’s football, São Paulo’s second-half comeback showed why they remain a serious threat in the Brasileirão Feminino A1.

Corinthians Women started brightly and took the lead through a well-taken first-half goal, but São Paulo Women responded with patience and quality. The visitors equalized after the break and then found a late winner, leaving the Corinthians players and supporters frustrated after a match they had controlled for long spells.

Match overview

Corinthians Women began with their usual high intensity, pressing São Paulo’s defense and creating chances through quick combinations in the final third. The opening goal came from a flowing move, with Gabi Portilho finishing confidently inside the penalty area. São Paulo survived that early storm and gradually began to keep possession for longer periods.

In the second half, São Paulo Women pushed their midfield higher and forced Corinthians deeper. The equalizer arrived through a moment of individual brilliance from Dudinha, and the game became more stretched. With time running out, São Paulo found the winner from a set piece, as Crivelari headed home to complete the comeback and secure all three points.

Key moments

• 22' – Corinthians 1-0: Gabi Portilho latched onto a smart through ball, took a touch to compose herself and slotted a low finish past the São Paulo goalkeeper.
• 58' – São Paulo 1-1: Dudinha received the ball just outside the box, created space with a sharp cutback and curled an excellent shot into the far corner.
• 84' – São Paulo 2-1: Crivelari rose above her marker to meet a corner and headed powerfully into the net, completing the turnaround for the visitors.

Tactical story

Corinthians Women used their width well in the first half, with overlapping full-backs creating space for the forwards. Their pressing forced turnovers, but they were unable to convert their dominance into a second goal. São Paulo Women adjusted after half-time, tightening their midfield and denying Corinthians easy access to the final third.

São Paulo’s substitutions added energy and fresh legs in wide areas. Once they equalized, they looked the more confident side. Corinthians pushed forward in search of a winner but left themselves exposed on set pieces, and Crivelari’s late header punished that vulnerability. It was a lesson in game management at the highest level of the Brazilian women’s game.

Standout players

Dudinha was the catalyst for São Paulo Women, driving forward and scoring a superb equalizer. Crivelari delivered the decisive moment with her late header and was a constant threat in the air. For Corinthians Women, Gabi Portilho was the standout performer, taking her goal well and linking play intelligently, but she lacked support in the final stages.
