Tactical story

Atletico Goianiense U20 set the tone with their high pressing and quick transitions. They closed down Sao Luis’s midfielders aggressively and looked to attack the space behind the full-backs. Sao Luis GO U20 had periods of possession but lacked penetration. Their midfield worked hard to circulate the ball, yet the final pass was often delayed, allowing Atletico to recover. Pedro Henrique’s second-half strike was equally important, as it removed any hope of a Sao Luis comeback. Atletico goalkeeper Rafael Souza also deserved credit for a composed performance and a clean sheet, while Sao Luis’s midfield captain kept pushing until the final whistle despite the scoreline.
