Auto Esporte Clube PB recorded a comprehensive 4-0 victory over Picuiense in the Campeonato Paraibano Second Division (BRA PB2) on October 1, 2026, delivering a performance that combined attacking ruthlessness with complete defensive control. Four goals, a clean sheet, and a dominant share of possession made it a nearly flawless evening for the home side.

Results like this carry real weight in a state second division, where squad depth and momentum often matter as much as raw quality over a compact fixture calendar.

Match Overview

Auto Esporte Clube PB began the match on the front foot and were rewarded with an early goal that immediately forced Picuiense to abandon their initial defensive approach. The hosts doubled their lead before halftime and effectively put the contest beyond reach with a third goal shortly after the restart.

The fourth goal arrived in the closing stages, capping a display in which the home side created chances consistently and defended with concentration, even when the result was already secure.

Key Moments

• Early opener: Sustained pressure down the left produced the breakthrough inside the opening twenty minutes.
• Second goal: A quick combination on the edge of the box created space for a precise finish into the bottom corner.
• Third after halftime: A corner kick was converted at the near post, effectively ending Picuiense's resistance.
• Fourth and final: A counter-attack involving three players ended with a simple tap-in that put the finishing touch on the scoreline.
• Clean sheet secured: A late double save preserved the shutout and underlined the hosts' focus until the final whistle.

Tactical Story

Auto Esporte Clube PB's approach was aggressive but structured. Their wingers stayed high and wide to stretch Picuiense's defence, while the central midfield pair controlled the space between the lines. This shape allowed the hosts to press effectively when out of possession and attack in numbers once the ball was recovered.

Picuiense struggled to cope with the pace of the game. Attempts to build through midfield were disrupted by constant pressure, and when they did get forward, their final ball was too often rushed. The gap in intensity between the sides was visible across all four goals.

Standout Performers

Auto Esporte Clube PB's attacking players shared the goalscoring burden, with contributions from set pieces and open play alike. The defensive unit also deserves recognition for a disciplined performance, and the goalkeeper's late interventions ensured the clean sheet survived intact.

For Picuiense, the standout was their goalkeeper, who made a string of saves to keep the margin from growing, while their captain worked tirelessly in midfield despite limited support.

What It Means for the Table

Three points, four goals scored, and none conceded is the ideal combination in a second-division campaign where goal difference can decide promotion hopes. Auto Esporte Clube PB strengthen both their standing and their confidence, sending a clear message to the rest of the division.

Picuiense leave with a difficult afternoon to review, particularly their handling of wide areas and set pieces, and will need a sharper defensive performance in their next outing.
