Tactical story

Operario MT (W) remained dangerous on the break and defended with numbers for long periods. Their goalkeeper made several saves to keep the score at 2-1, but the visitors struggled to maintain possession under pressure. Mixto’s ability to recover loose balls in midfield ultimately proved decisive.

The winger on the right caused problems throughout, while the centre-back pairing handled Operario’s late aerial pressure. For Operario MT (W), the goalkeeper kept the match competitive with a string of saves, and the forward who scored the opener was a constant threat on the counter.

Season impact

The victory gives Mixto EC Women an important three points in the Mato Grosso Women’s Championship and strengthens their position in the title race. Coming from behind against a direct opponent can boost confidence, particularly with the schedule becoming more demanding. Operario MT (W) will take encouragement from their early lead and counter-attacking threat, but will be disappointed to leave empty-handed.
