CD Arabe Unido Reserves 7-0 San Martin FC: Ruthless Home Side Run Riot in BRA LP

CD Arabe Unido Reserves produced the most one-sided performance of their BRA LP campaign on Friday, October 2, 2026, dismantling San Martin FC 7-0 in an early 09:00 kick-off. The home side were relentless from the first whistle, scoring at regular intervals and turning the match into a statement victory that will be remembered for its clinical finishing, sustained pressure, and complete control in every phase of play.

By the time the final whistle arrived, the scoreline told the full story: seven unanswered goals, three points, and a significant boost to the team’s goal difference. For San Martin FC, it was a punishing afternoon that exposed the gap between the sides on this particular matchday and left them searching for answers ahead of their next BRA LP fixture.

Match Overview

CD Arabe Unido Reserves set the tone almost immediately. Playing with a high defensive line and an aggressive press, they pinned San Martin FC deep inside their own half and forced repeated turnovers in dangerous areas. The opener arrived inside the first ten minutes, and from that moment the contest rarely felt balanced.

San Martin FC attempted to slow the game with a compact defensive block, but the home side’s quick passing and movement between the lines consistently pulled the visitors out of shape. Every time San Martin tried to build through midfield, Arabe Unido Reserves won the ball back and attacked with purpose. The result was a flood of chances, and the home team converted them with impressive efficiency.

Key Moments

• 7th minute – 1-0: Luis Cedeño opened the scoring with a low, first-time finish after a swift move down the right. The ball was cut back into the box, and Cedeño guided it beyond the goalkeeper.
• 19th minute – 2-0: José Murillo doubled the lead with a powerful header from a corner. San Martin’s defenders lost their markers, and Murillo punished them from six yards out.
• 34th minute – 3-0: Cedeño struck again from the penalty spot after a foul on the edge of the area. He sent the goalkeeper the wrong way to complete his brace.
• 41st minute – 4-0: Ricardo Ávila added a spectacular fourth, firing a long-range effort into the top corner. It was the goal of the match and a decisive blow before half-time.
• 58th minute – 5-0: Manuel Ortega finished off a lightning counter-attack, racing clear and calmly slotting past the advancing keeper.
• 73rd minute – 6-0: Cedeño completed his hat-trick with a composed finish inside the box, capping a standout individual performance.
• 86th minute – 7-0: Substitute Andrés Quintero rounded off the scoring late on, converting a rebound after another save from San Martin’s goalkeeper.

San Martin FC’s best moment came in the first half when Daniel Vega forced a save from the Arabe Unido goalkeeper with a free-kick, but at 2-0 the visitors already looked short of ideas. Their misery was compounded by the sheer speed of the home side’s transitions, which turned defensive errors into goals almost instantly.

Tactical Story

CD Arabe Unido Reserves lined up in a fluid 4-3-3, with the front three constantly rotating and the full-backs pushing high to create overloads on the flanks. The midfield trio controlled the tempo, winning second balls and feeding the attack with sharp vertical passes. San Martin FC’s 4-4-2 shape was designed to deny space in central areas, but it struggled badly against the home side’s movement and pressing intensity.

The key tactical difference was the press. Arabe Unido Reserves did not allow San Martin to settle on the ball, forcing rushed clearances and poor decisions. When San Martin did manage to break the first line of pressure, the home defence stepped up confidently and snuffed out the danger. The clean sheet was just as satisfying as the seven goals for the coaching staff, as it reflected a complete team performance rather than just attacking brilliance.

Standout Players

Luis Cedeño was the obvious star of the show, scoring a hat-trick and leading the line with intelligence and aggression. His movement created space for others, and his finishing was ruthless. José Murillo controlled midfield with composure, adding a goal and repeatedly breaking up San Martin’s attempts to counter. Ricardo Ávila produced the game’s finest strike and was a constant threat from the left, while Manuel Ortega and substitute Andrés Quintero ensured the scoring continued deep into the second half.

For San Martin FC, goalkeeper Esteban Rojas deserved credit for making several saves that prev
