Tactical story

Plaza Amador's midfield trio dictated the tempo and won most of the loose balls, allowing them to sustain attacks and prevent Alianza from building rhythm. Their wide players stretched the defence, creating space for central runners. Alianza FC Panama Reserves looked dangerous from set pieces but were too often exposed in transition, especially after half-time when they committed more players forward.

Standout performers

Luis Cedeno was the standout performer with two goals and constant movement that unsettled Alianza's back line. Plaza Amador's midfield anchor controlled the game with simple, effective passing, while the goalkeeper made a crucial save at 2-1 to preserve the visitors' advantage. Alianza's goalscorer from the corner was their brightest attacking outlet, but the team lacked the defensive solidity to stay in the contest.

What it means

The result gives Plaza Amador Reserves a strong boost in the BRA LP reserve competition and highlights their attacking depth. For Alianza FC Panama Reserves, the defeat is a reminder that set-piece goals alone are rarely enough against opponents with superior control in midfield. Both sides will take lessons into their next fixtures, with Plaza Amador looking to build momentum and Alianza seeking a more complete defensive display.
