EC Juventude Women delivered an emphatic 4-1 victory over Brasil Farroupilha Women in the Brazilian Gaucho Women League, with a first-half foundation and a dominant second-half display securing the points.

Juventude controlled the match from the opening stages, dictating possession and using width to stretch the Farroupilha defence. The home side’s pressing and quick ball movement created repeated chances, and the scoreline reflected their superiority over the 90 minutes.

Tactical story

Juventude’s use of width was the defining feature of the match. The wingers stayed high, the full-backs overlapped consistently and Farroupilha’s defence was stretched across the pitch. That movement created space in the half-spaces, allowing Juventude’s midfielders to receive the ball facing forward and pick out runners in the box.

Brasil Farroupilha Women defended courageously at times but struggled to cope with Juventude’s pressing. Their goal came from a well-delivered cross and a strong header, showing they carried a threat from set pieces. However, they were unable to build sustained possession, and each time they lost the ball in midfield, Juventude attacked with purpose.

Standout performers

Camila Rocha was the standout player, scoring twice and causing problems throughout with her direct running. Fernanda Lima controlled the tempo in midfield and added a well-taken goal, while Larissa Alves was a constant threat from the right. Bruna Martins deserves credit for Farroupilha’s consolation goal and worked hard despite limited service.

What the result means

The win strengthens EC Juventude Women’s credentials in the Brazilian Gaucho Women League and gives them important momentum for the matches ahead. Brasil Farroupilha Women will need to regroup quickly, particularly defensively, after conceding four goals. Their reaction in the next fixture will be important as they look to move back up the standings.
